The Greenhouse That Grows More Than Lettuce

At Westonwood Ranch, the Aquaponic Greenhouse isn’t just a place where lettuce grows—it’s where confidence blooms, purpose takes root, and futures are cultivated. Here, young people with developmental differences step into meaningful roles that align with their unique strengths, from monitoring water quality to harvesting produce for local sale. It’s more than hands-on learning—it’s a living classroom where science, responsibility, and self-worth intersect.

This innovative social enterprise reflects the heart of our mission: to equip individuals with the life skills and job readiness they need for greater independence. With each shift in the greenhouse, participants aren’t just gaining skills—they’re contributing to a real business, building pride, and proving that everyone has something valuable to offer.

The Aquaponic Greenhouse is more than a program. It’s a symbol of what’s possible when we create a place to grow.
